Parent Involvement
Clara Barton offers a variety of ways parents and community members can be involved with helping the students, teachers and school be successful.
Local School Council (LSC)
Composed of the principal, teachers, parents and community members, the LSC work together to develop the school budget, choose the Principal, and select the School Improvement Plan for Advancing Academic Achievement (SIPAAA). The LSC conducts regular monthly meetings.
Parent Advisory Council (PAC)
Composed of parents and community members the PAC conducts regular monthly meetings and parent training workshops open to all Barton Parents, the PAC also has a budget to support these activities.
Volunteer Opportunities
Clara Barton recognizes the importance of parents being involved with their child’s educational process. Therefore, we welcome you to volunteer with us as much as possible. Please see your child’s teacher or the school’s administration for classroom volunteer opportunities and school volunteer opportunities.
